Genesis 42 : 25 - 27 NKJV
Joseph had a significant part to play in God’s plans for the Israelites. His purpose for being in Egypt was to be a forerunner for his people, to open the doors of Egypt to them.
Although, he did pass through a rough road with the people he was called to forerun - his brothers first tried to kill him and then sold him off at a 67% discount of the price of a slave - the devil did try so hard to cause enmity to prevent the purpose from being fulfilled . But after all he went through it was his actions of love instead of revenge, or payback that drew him to achieving that very purpose. Love draws us closer to where we should be!
It is not always easy to act in love, mostly when we come face to face with those who have gravely offended us - like Joseph’s brothers. But it is the right thing to do.
The action of love is not only beneficial to those we show it to, but also beneficial to us.
