1 Samuel 25:12–13, 32–34 NIV
Looking at previous chapters, David has shown such an amazing example to his men by the way he treated Saul. Even when he had the opportunity to kill him. But in this passage, the same David got so angry with Nabal that he aligned 400 men to follow him to Nabal’s house to kill every male in his family. Thank God for Abigail, who came to plead with him.
As leaders, in whatever sphere we lead—family, church, government, or business world—it is important to note that it is not about us. People are looking up to us and learning from us as we lead. So we should be careful how we act and react so we lead them rightly, as we can easily influence them by our actions.
Before we act, let’s ask the question: Am I setting the right example with my actions? Is it building them up or pulling them down? We may not know that they are watching us, but in reality, they are.
𝙅𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙎𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙨 is a short clip intended to grow and equip us in our trust walk with God. The current focus is on life’s seasons. Life is in seasons - so it is important that we lean in and learn from the Holy Spirit. I am grateful that every episode is inspired by the Holy Spirit. I encourage you to learn with me.
