With all that Saul did to either kill or make David’s life miserable—sending people to kill him, demoting him, sending him to the warfront so they perhaps take his life (on a side note, our brother David did this to Uriah 🤦♀️ but we will discuss this later). David did not for once retaliate; he did not try to get back at Saul even when he had opportunities to!
The act of restraining oneself, letting go and submitting to God, especially when it is clearly justified, may be viewed as weakness, but it definitely is a sign of great strength.
Instead of retaliating, let us let go; our healing from those hurts or injustices is more important than payback. Let God do the bidding.
