1 Samuel 18:6–11, 16:14 NIV

The women were rejoicing over David, saying David killed tens of thousands and Saul thousands. This made Saul angry, he took offence and became very jealous of David ( he was not even angry at the women πŸ˜‚). He thought to himself, What more can David get except the kingdom.Β

Literally the next day, an evil spirit came upon him, so this jealousy and anger gave way for him to be tormented as he opened the door to it.Β

When we are carried away by anger, the devil provides so many suggestive thoughts to keep us in anger, and when one is angry, those thoughts become very appealing. But you see, his end game is to block our prayers and to push us to open the door to him influencing our lives. When we fight against these things, we are literally fighting for our lives.

Let us capture our thoughts and not be carried away by them. In times of intense emotions, let’s learn to yield to God. God help us!

π™…π™€π™‘π™–π™Žπ™₯π™šπ™–π™ π™¨ is a short clip intended to grow and equip us in our trust walk with God. The current focus is on life’s seasons. Life is in seasons - so it is important that we lean in and learn from the Holy Spirit. I am grateful that every episode is inspired by the Holy Spirit. I encourage you to learn with me.
