1 Samuel 19:3–10 NIV

“So Saul heeded the voice of Jonathan, and Saul swore, “As the Lord lives, he shall not be killed.””

‭‭I Samuel‬ ‭19‬:‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

When Jonathan spoke to Saul on David’s behalf, he heeded, and as King Saul made a statement that David shall not be killed, and things went back to how they were before. But war broke out, and David fought the Philistines and won, and Saul was triggered by David’s victory and immediately sought to kill him again. Although Saul gave his word not to kill David, he hadn’t dealt with the root of the problem, which was fear, which led him against his word even as King.

These triggers can happen when we least expect them. To deal with the problem, we need to deal with the root cause not the outward appearance or signs. It’s like a weed; no matter how much we cut the plant, as long as there is still a root, it has not been taken care of.

𝙅𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙎𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙨 is a short clip intended to grow and equip us in our trust walk with God. The current focus is on life’s seasons. Life is in seasons - so it is important that we lean in and learn from the Holy Spirit. I am grateful that every episode is inspired by the Holy Spirit. I encourage you to learn with me.
