1 Samuel 24:1–7

Remember, the testing season is for you and me, not the other distractions or parties that may be involved. How we show up and respond is very important for us to excel.

David was going through a test. He was close to killing Saul at the cave. People around him encouraged him to finally end the battle. David did know killing Saul was wrong, as he was God's anointed, but he was tired and worn out. But in God's mercy, he got conscience-stricken when he cut off part of Saul’s coat—an important prompt for him not to go any further—and he obeyed.

Like David, some of us may be at that exact point: we feel worn out, tired, and looking for a way out of the season; people around us are desperate; so many voices are speaking out of desperation; we too are desperate for anything, and we are about to give into what is before us even though we know the truth and it’s not part of God’s plan. but we are "done,” but at this same point, the Holy Spirit has prompted us…perhaps with this.

Today, I am here to say STOP 🛑 Please do not go any further. We know thetruth; let’s hold on to it and trust God. let us repent and re-align ourselves in obedience to God.

Remember, David still passed the test, and so can we.

This just reminded me of the movie #Acrimony and the desperation of the couple - let me not be a spoiler, but if you’ve watched it, you would totally understand the analogy.

𝙅𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙎𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙨 is a short clip intended to grow and equip us in our trust walk with God. The current focus is on life’s seasons. Life is in seasons - so it is important that we lean in and learn from the Holy Spirit. I am grateful that every episode is inspired by the Holy Spirit. I encourage you to learn with me.
