Genesis 45:10, 36:31–35, 47:1-6 NIV

God is deliberate and specific! It had to be Goshen for many reasons, which we discussed in today's episode, as it aligned with God's plans for the Israelites. 

Goshen means "drawing near". It was a land of irrigation and plenty, which was conducive to their flocks flourishing. Goshen was away from the city, which means the Israelites were separate and had the space to grow to become a nation even in Egypt. Hundreds of years later, when it was time to exit Egypt; the plagues were sent to Egypt, but Goshen was not impacted because Goshen was separate. God had planned for their exit before they stepped into Egypt. 

God is deliberate! He has been through the end from the beginning.
