1 Samuel 16:14, 21–23 NIV
I’ve always wondered why God sent an evil spirit to Saul.
Initially, it was clear it was judgement as a result of Saul’s rebellious ways after God rejected him as king. But it couldn’t just be judgement.
Specifically, this situation was ushering Saul into a wilderness/tough season where he learned the right character, humbled himself, turned to God, and submitted to God's will for his life. Yes, God rejected him from the position of king of Israel, but Saul was still His son, and God was still trying to stretch out His hands to him despite all Saul had done. But sadly, as we would see later, Saul didn’t get the memo!
In God’s judgement, He is still merciful. Even when God corrects us and realigns us, the purpose is still relationship! The very key reason why man was created, He uses these seasons to align us with His will and purpose for our lives.
𝙅𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙎𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙨 is a short clip intended to grow and equip us in our trust walk with God. The current focus is on life's seasons.
