Genesis 49:1-12 NIV
We continue our discussion on words carry weight but look specifically at Simeon and Levi. They both had a similar curse as they killed a man in anger. The tribe and generations of Simeon suffered the curse but God overturned the curse on the tribe of Levi because they were close to God and continued to seek His Face. The Levi tribe then became the tribe that the prophets came from and were responsible for the religious leaders of Israel.
God is indeed merciful.
