The Somerton Man, also known as the Tamam Shud case, is one of Australia's most enduring mysteries. In 1948, the body of an unidentified man was discovered on Somerton Beach in Adelaide, South Australia.
The man was found lying on his back, with his head resting against the seawall, and his arms outstretched. Despite an extensive investigation, the man's identity and cause of death remain unknown to this day.
