This morning we looked again at Zechariah chapter 7. This Old Testament prophet ministered during a time of great upheaval and amid a search for identity for the people of God following the exile to Babylon. Zechariah was a prophet who both ministered to his generation and who ministers to his future readers as he prophesies concerning the Messiah and the coming age.
The first week's sermon looked at Zechariah 7:1-14 and asked three questions --Should they fast (v.1-3); Why did they fast (v. 4-7); What were the sinful issues (v. 8-14)?! In the last two weeks, we made a long list of application points. These included:
