The Atlanta Tech Angels has been one of the most successful seed stage angel groups in the Southern US. They are focused on tech startups and typically lead rounds of $300k – $750k, generally a convertible note with 6% interest, 20% discount, and a valuation cap between $2M – $6M while also participating in a variety of syndicated angel deals. ATA's minimum expectation for investment is a complete or near-complete prototype product but they prefer a product in Beta stage with pilots or better still, a fully-developed product with initial revenue and demonstrated customer interest. ATA Members may invest selectively in deals that interest them and via the ATA Serles LLC, their sidecar co-investment vehicle.
