A popular claim is gaining traction in the infamous world of TikTok videos, where people fall for misinformation about the Bible. Admittedly, it is easy to do. When you are on social media, you often do not go there to engage in academic debate. You go for entertainment. Unknowingly, we may fall prey to specific claims we do not know much about and have little time to investigate a claim ourselves. One such claim that has become more and more noticeable in recent times is the claim that "Homosexuality was not in the Bible until the 1946 RSV translation of the Bible." Advocates of this position state that the translators put this word in malevolently, and it has since been the basis for anti-LGBTQ propaganda. Is this true? In this Apologetics week, we will analyze this claim to see if there is merit in it and what the Bible says on this issue.
