In this Apologetics week, we examine a popular claim made by Pastor Brandan Robertson in 2021 that Jesus telling Lazarus to come out of the tomb was actually a metaphor for LGBTQ people to "come out". Robertson is a progressive Christian with a sizable social media presence. Examining the Biblical events recounting the raising of Lazarus as well as some apologetic rebuttals of Robertson's claim, we will prove that this is an unbiblical, deceptive and false claim.
