Cheryl Bonds joins me today to discuss the mindset of breaking generational curses.

What is a generational curse?
According to Christian author and speaker Amanda Pittman, a generational curse is “a spiritual or a behavioral pattern that is passed down through family lines because of sin, idolatry, or rebellion. It’s when the same struggles show up in the same family for generations.”
Destructive behavioral patterns were definitely part of Cheryl’s maternal family line. Cheryl had experienced harmful emotional, physical, financial, and educational outcomes in her childhood and young adult years.
When Cheryl was incarcerated, the writing was on the wall. She was continuing the destructive behaviors/ the generational curses.
God met her in prison and offered her salvation and forgave her sins.
With God’s help, Cheryl became intentional about breaking the generational curses that had hurt her in so many ways.
