Pentecost is the day Christians celebrate the birthday of the church. The Holy Spirit arrives and people from all over hear the wonders of God in their own languages. Our ears are tuned to hear our names and our languages even in the most crowded of places. This story from Acts as well as the story from 1 Corinthians 12 that speaks of the Body of Christ and lifts up the different gifts we are given should remind us that diversity is a good thing. God communicates across barriers and so should we. How might we work to celebrate diversity and find ways to grow through it?
