In Episode 2 I talked about a Mark Twain quote “If it's your job to eat a frog, it's best to do it first thing in the morning. And If it's your job to eat two frogs, it's best to eat the biggest one first.” Sometimes we have to do hard things in life.
I think about this as people are going back to school. Changing schools can be hard and so can just going into a new class or grade. The unknown seems to always trigger our fear responses.
In the Book of Esther - Queen Esther must go before the King to plead for the safety of the Jews in Persia. Her uncle tells her that perhaps she is queen for just such a time as this. Maybe the hard things in our path are there for a reason, or maybe we are walking with people doing hard things so we can be supportive of them.
Even though there are hard things in life. Know that you do not do them alone!
