Description

Karen Ross and her brother Mark Thomas have been co-owners of the Tallyrand restaurant for about two decades. Their parents, Al and Delores Thomas, started the iconic Burbank dining spot in 1959, and the business has been going strong ever since.

Burbankers and restaurantgoers from far and wide have sought out Tallyrand's delicious, freshly made American meals for decades. These well-loved menu items include their hot turkey sandwich, buttermilk pancakes, and tuna melt. Aside from the tasty food, Tallyrand is also known for its warm and welcoming atmosphere.

As Tallyrand nears its 65th anniversary year, Ross chats with us about memories such as serving Talllyrand's classic Thanksgiving meals, as well as the restaurant being visited by TV personality Huell Howser for a memorable 2010 episode of his series Visiting... with Huell Howser.

This episode of "Local Legends with Devin" is sponsored by Plumbing Dudes, a local, family-owned business that offers superior plumbing services to Burbank and its neighboring areas.
