In this episode of "Local Legends with Devin," we're joined by director, writer and artist Stark Howell. Stark revisits his childhood memories in Burbank, including spending time with his friends Clint and Ron Howard, and discusses his experiences making TV shows and films.
He previously worked as a storyboard artist on many memorable projects like "All Grown Up!," "Sofia the First," and "Hey Arnold!," for which he also directed 18 episodes. Stark additionally wrote and directed "Mayberry Man," a 2021 feel-good film with an original storyline that also pays tribute to "The Andy Griffith Show." (Stark's father, Hoke Howell, played Dud Wash on the classic sitcom.) Most recently, Stark is leading "Mayberry Man: The Series," a follow-up show that's currently in development.
