Before Jesus begins his ministry he goes through a season where he disconnects from the world and gets away with God in the wilderness. We often think of our “wilderness seasons” as painful or a negative experience, whereas it is actually a blessing!

In this message for the new year, Pastor Wes Morris challenges us in a couple of ways that we are distracted from our wilderness opportunities and 3 ways to embrace and fully experience our wilderness time with our creator. We hope you’ll be encouraged through this message.

Mark 1:9-13 (NLT) One day Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee, and John baptized him in the Jordan River. As Jesus came up out of the water, he saw the heavens splitting apart and the Holy Spirit descending on him like a dove. And a voice from heaven said, “You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.”

The Spirit then compelled Jesus to go into the wilderness, where he was tempted by Satan for forty days. He was out among the wild animals, and angels took care of him.
