The people of God declaring the gospel of God is God's sovereignly appointed means through which his mission will go forth. The people of God are not called to be mere containers of the gospel; we are called to be conduits through which the power of the gospel flows. We are called not only to be beneficiaries of God's grace, but agents of that grace within the world around us. Participation in the mission of God is part of what it means to be a disciple of Jesus!
