Today’s message will close out the Christmas season along with the start of a new year. It will also tie into our observance of the Lord’s Supper this morning. The story of the wise men chronicled in the Gospel of Matthew tells of the Magi long and dangerous travel to see the Christ child. From this morning’s text, Pastor Wallace will show us how to have wisdom in this new year as we look at how the wise men sought Jesus and what they brought Him. The wise men had a passion to visit Jesus and since they had received a gift from God, they gave a gift back to God. We too can serve God with a passion and give back to God! No matter what you bring to the Christ child, you will always leave richer. And then, like the wise men of old, you will go home by another road. Your life will be different, your way and your walk will be different, this day, this week, this year, for you worship the Newborn King, and He has given you the treasure of Himself.
