Description

Most have taken for granted Jesus’ nativity story as commonly related – that when Joseph and Mary arrived in Bethlehem there was no room in an inn, so Mary ended up giving birth to Jesus in a stable. However, a more realistic view of what occurred with Christ’s birth according to custom of the time is that the manger was in a house and not in a stable. As the text says: “there was no guest room available for them.” Today, we struggle to make room for Jesus. The struggle often is the fact that the distractions of life make it hard to stay focused on the most important things. Therefore, in today’s message Pastor Wallace suggests three things you may want to consider in making room for God. They are: 1) make room for God in your heart; 2) make room for God in your heart; and 3) make room for God in your home. Are you willing to move something out in order to make room for God? Well, God made room for you by extending His grace. “He gave His One and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16).
