In this episode, Tom sits down with his friend Jesse. Tom would like to have Jesse along on the upcoming challenge of riding the 206-mile Seattle to Portland bicycle ride. However, Jesse recently underwent knee surgery and is unsure if he'll be able to handle the ride. Tom and Jesse talk about the difficulties of recovering from surgery and the obstacles it can present for training correctly.

Tom and Jesse are also joined by their friend, Dr. Robyn Peckham, an orthopedic surgeon, to discuss Jesse's challenge. Dr. Peckham provides expert input on Jesse's chances of completing the ride and offers valuable advice for anyone recovering from knee surgery and wishing to get back on a bike. Tom, Jesse, and Dr. Peckham discuss the importance of proper training and rehabilitation, as well as the benefits of cycling for overall joint health.

Throughout the episode, listeners will gain insight into challenges of cycling after knee surgery, as well as some inspiration for keeping active and pursuing their passions later in life.
