We are continuing our series on Hebrews and with this, the fifth week of the devotionals, we are beginning the third major section of the book. In the first section – which was short, just the first few verses of chapter one – we were told that Christ is greater than the prophets. In the second section – from chapter 1 verse 4 through the end of chapter two – we learn that Christ is greater than the angels. Now we move forward with the idea that Christ is greater than Moses. Or that Jesus and the New Covenant is greater than Moses and the Old. As we will see, this is no small claim.
