Description

This week I have a very special guest, Alice St Johnston from Wiltshire Constabulary, formerly of Avon and Somerset Constabulary.
Alice recently passed the promotion board to Sergeant and unlike most people who tell a story of it being a hideous process, Alice felt ready for it and actually enjoyed it.

I have worked with Alice for a couple of years on and off but this time she came to me because she was going for the promotion boards and she didn't want it to be a negative experience.

Alice ended up absolutely smashing it, but even better than that she didn't do it by overworking, overstudying, not sleeping and feeling stressed. She learnt how to build her self confidence, how to retain information while studying less and even managed to get a good nights sleep the night before the board, leaving her fully prepared on the day.

Learning the tools of mental rehearsal and allowing fear helped her to glide through her board without the fear of failure looming over her. Not because failure wasn't an option, but because she no longer feared failure and knew she could handle it.

This might sound strange to you but the fear of failure directs so much energy aware from the work that increases our chances of passing. When you make that fear your friend, you are in complete control.

If you are going for promotion, whether it be the exam or the boards and you want to increase your chances of passing and make it so that it's not a hideous experience then book in a FREE Discover Call.

It doesn't have to be hideous, I promise you!
