Welcome to another edition of Songs That Were Covers on Rock and Roll Flashback!  This series features the songs that had one or more significant covers of the original version.  I'm Jumpin' John, and in this episode I will discuss another classic song that was covered by numerous artists.  It was back in October 1960 that Maurice Williams & The Zodiacs' debut single "Stay" was released.  On November 21st, 1960 "Stay" reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.  Here is the back story about the song "Stay", as well as a review of three significant covers of Maurice's tune.
