Welcome to Rock & Roll Flashback! I'm Jumpin' John McDermott, and today we will focus on another British Invasion band that hit America's shores in 1964: The Moody Blues. This podcast is Part 1 of two podcasts about the Moody Blues. Today I will be discussing the "Mark One" version of the band and their hit single, "Go Now." The "Mark One" version of the Moody Blues was an English rock band, consisting of keyboardist Mike Pinder, flute and harmonica player Ray Thomas, guitarist Denny Laine (born Brian Hines), drummer Graeme Edge, and bassist Clint Warwick. Another episode, The Moody Blues, Part 2, will focus on the "Mark Two" version of the band from 1967 to 1977 and their core seven albums.
All podcasts on the Rock and Roll Flashback Podcast are produced by brothers-in-law Bill Price and "Jumpin' John" McDermott. The Podcast Theme Song, "You Essay", was written by John. It was initially recorded by Bill and John on April 1, 2004 with several revisions since then.
