Description

Ever pondered the future of the church in our rapidly evolving culture? Ever wondered why the church often resembles any other social organization, when it should truly serve as a signpost to an entirely novel way of being human? Well, we're about to delve into those musings and more. Inspired by a humorous incident involving two Dublin lads who tricked the world with a fake meteorite, we aim to draw parallels with how the church is perceived and its purpose.

We'll journey back to the church's original conception - a gathering of people. The focus won't be on the building, the budget or online presence, but rather, the people that form its heart. We'll explore the idea that all Christians belong to a priestly order, as put forth by Peter. This significant concept will serve as a stepping stone to understanding the church's deep-rooted essence. From there, we'll segue into the church's role in God's kingdom and its consequential mission and vision.

Ever considered the church as the body of Christ? As an entity meant to indicate a distinct way of life, centered around Jesus Christ? We're going to explore that and how it ties into our citizenship not being of any earthly realm, but of the kingdom of God. As we reflect on the church's mission and how it has blessed the world, we'll also ponder its future and how we can embody the spirit of Jesus in our communities. So join us on this enlightening journey as we seek to understand our faith better and envision a compelling alternative to being human.
