On January 16th, 2013, an All Nippon Airways Boeing 787 flight made an emergency landing due to a battery alarm. Taking into account prior incidents with the "Dreamliners", authorities grounded all 787s as investigators work around the clock to pinpoint problems in the airplane's electrical systems. Nadejda Popova, Senior Research Analyst for the Travel and Tourism industry, states that many airplanes have growing pains - the Airbus A380 had wing cracks and electrical issues, for instance. Regardless, investors will be watching Boeing's handling of these issues carefully. If the problem isn't fixed quickly, financial disaster could ensue for a company projected to retain momentum.
