I always found SMART* goals boring and uninspiring. As a person who thrives on variety and inspiration, they just never motivated  me in spite of my best efforts. Ever feel like something was wrong with you when you failed achieve or even forgot your SMART goals? Nothing is wrong with you! They were designed for a narrow and specific type of goal in business or education. As a Modern Creative Woman, you probably just need some more options for setting goals. I found 10 types of goal setting techniques in the literature, and I mention a few before jumping into the Modern Creative Woman method of value-based actions. I cover present moment awareness and purpose as the foundation for change. 

I share two powerful interventions you need before you sit down with your goals - bilateral scribbles and identifying what is most important to you. Don't try to skip ahead to the action steps until you complete these two simple, yet powerful Art Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) tools. Listen in and ditch those SMART goals to find a creative solution that works for you!
