Description

In today's episode 22, we're going to dive into the challenging topic of surviving divorce.

Now, it's been almost nine years since I went through my own divorce, but I remember it vividly. Sometimes, the remnants of that experience still linger. I want to extend my empathy and understanding to those of you who are currently going through a divorce or still grappling with its effects, even years later.

You see, divorce can have a profound impact on us. And as an empowerment strategist, my mission is to empower not just women but also men, because everyone has their feelings and vulnerabilities.

As someone who has survived divorce, I can tell you it was a brutal journey. I won't delve too deep into my personal story, but I'm always authentic with you. Many of you might have faced situations where you thought it was time to part ways, but you didn't anticipate how challenging the aftermath could be. For me, it brought forth profound sadness.

First and foremost, it's essential to acknowledge that you don't have to rush through this process.

Second, seek support. Reach out to family, friends, and don't underestimate the power of therapy.

Third, take care of yourself physically. Stay hydrated, get enough rest, and nourish your body with nutritious meals.

Fourth, prioritize self-care. Engage in hobbies and activities you enjoy, whether it's dancing, singing, or reading.

Fifth, set boundaries and practice clear communication, especially if you have children.

Sixth, prioritize your children. The courts also emphasize this, and how you handle the divorce can deeply impact your kids.

Finally, remember to take one day at a time. Healing from divorce is a process, and it's okay to still feel the pain.

So, my friends, let it go and take it one day at a time.
