Description

Today is November 6, 2024.  Many people woke up this morning feeling shocked, confused and scared.  Regardless of your political views or stance, the tension in the country is palpable.  As a therapist, I know I am in for a long day and there is so little I can control. HeartMath® really helps me center and ground.  I am offering this short and simple HeartMath® Lock In technique in hopes that it helps you too.

You can find more information about HeartMath® at heartmath.org.

I also provide HeartMath® trainings so please reach out with any interest or questions.

Thank you for listening to the Spiritually Curious Therapist Podcast.  If you enjoyed this episode, please subscribe, share, and leave a review - it helps us grow and reach more listeners!

For our 2027 season, we’re exploring how we stay connected to ourselves while navigating relationships, difficult emotions, and the expectations of others.

Our listeners may seem capable and composed while privately struggling with people-pleasing, perfectionism, anxiety, resentment, or persistent pain and symptoms. We’re curious about what helps people acknowledge their feelings, express their needs, and build relationships that have room for them, too.

Spiritual curiosity is part of this exploration: questioning who we’ve learned we’re supposed to be, reconnecting with our values and inner experience, and discovering what makes life meaningful. Our conversations bring psychotherapy, nervous system science, spirituality, and lived experience into dialogue.
