James 2:12-13
12 Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom, 13 because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
Today we will dig deep into the Law that gives freedom. We are building upon the differentiations of LAW that James is helping us understand now that we are followers of Jesus. James 1:21 the perfect law, 2:8 the Royal law and now 2:12 the law that gives Freedom
Quick review… In James 2 we have been hitting hard the issues of favoritism and prejudice. And that favoritism is a sin and has no place in Christianity.
In fact, by keeping the “royal law”, love your neighbor as yourself we won’t sin against one another by showing favoritism and indulging our prejudices,
