My Church Never Forgets What We Do and Why We Do It

(Matthew 16:18 NIV) And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock, I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.

(Deuteronomy 4:9 NIV) Only be careful and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.

(Deuteronomy 6:10-12 MSG) 10-12 When God, your God, ushers you into the land he promised through your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob to give you, you’re going to walk into large, bustling cities you didn’t build, well-furnished houses you didn’t buy, come upon wells you didn’t dig, vineyards and olive orchards you didn’t plant. When you take it all in and settle down, pleased and content, make sure you don’t forget how you got there—God brought you out of slavery in Egypt.

(1 Peter 1:17 MSG) You call out to God for help and he helps—he’s a good Father that way. But don’t forget, he’s also a responsible Father, and won’t let you get by with sloppy living.

(1 Corinthians 12:27 MSG) You are Christ’s body—that’s who you are!

(Colossians 1:11-14 NLT) Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.
