I love to sing, but there’s just one problem—I’m way too shy to sing karaoke in front of strangers! In this episode of The Music in Me, I’m talking about some of the most popular karaoke songs and what makes them so much fun to sing, from “Sweet Caroline” and “Don’t Stop Believin’” to “Livin’ on a Prayer,” “Dancing Queen,” “Shallow,” “Mr. Brightside,” and more. Then I’m getting personal and sharing some of my own favorite karaoke songs, including Broadway favorites, Disney songs, powerhouse vocals from Whitney Houston, Adele, P!nk, Sia, Frank Sinatra, and three of my favorite Alicia Keys songs. Some of these songs have special memories attached to them, some I used to sing over and over on my old karaoke machine, and others became favorites from singing them in my bedroom or car while pretending I was the original artist. Turn up the volume and sing along with me—just don’t ask me to do it in front of a crowd!
