This time on Flat-pack Sober I’m joined by the Xero Queen Laura Evison. But we're talking about Xero the accounting software rather than anything alcohol free.
Laura's shares her journey of self-awareness and recovery. And she’s passionate about sharing it because she knows too many people are hiding the drinking under their high performance.
We started with her dark moments, her mental health struggles and how she didn’t believe that she could ever find a solution.
Good news: she did.
She shared her progress through the twelve steps. She highlighted the importance of taking action and dealing with past issues. She also touched on the importance of community and service.
But for Laura it’s not just about the external behaviours, it's about changing your attitude and focusing on yourself.
She even gave me a new way of thinking about assembling flat-pack furniture and I’ve talked to a lot of people about how they build flat-pack.
Laura shares so much thought-provoking stuff, you need to plug your ears into this episode.

Keep marching sober warriors. See you next time.
Thank you for listening and being a vital part of the Flat-Pack Sober community. Together, we’re building life one sober piece at a time. Stay tuned, stay strong, and keep assembling the best version of yourself!
