This Week's Announcements:

There are a TON of exciting ways to get involved at La Jolla Pres this month! There are Christmas programs for every member of the family, and we want to celebrate with you. Visit ljpres.org/Christmas to find a place to get connected and experience all this season has to offer.

The Mission Partner Catalogs are out and, you can view them online at ljpres.org/missions, or pick up a copy at the church. We want to help you discover unique Christmas gifts for your family and friends. Drop off your payments at the courtyard table on Sundays or at the front desk through Dec. 31st. Thanks so much for supporting our Mission Partners.

We have refugee families supported by our Mission Partners who have little means to celebrate Christmas. If you or your Growth Group would like to Adopt A Family for Christmas, or Fill A Bag with needed supplies (from cleaning to diapers to hygiene), please stop by the table in the courtyard this Sunday, or email Michelle Whitney at michellew@ljpres.org.

The San Diego Military Outreach Ministry Toy Drive distribution day is December 15th, and we need new unwrapped toys for our military families in San Diego. Please leave them in the bin by Reception, and bless a family that is struggling this Christmas season. La Jolla Pres continues to be #1 with our military families.

Our December blood drive is today, Sunday, December 9th, from 8am to 1pm, in room LC3. Give the “Gift of Life” by donating blood. Walk-ins are welcome.

Celebrate the wonder, glory, and story of Christmas at our annual La Jolla Presbyterian Church Christmas concerts this afternoon, Sunday, December 9th at 4:00 and 7:00pm! Christmas Joy! features the Chancel Choir with a professional orchestra, the Children’s Choirs at 4pm, and our Handbell Choir at 7pm. Let your heart find peace through the beautiful music our musicians create while retelling the Christmas story through song and scripture in our musical gift to the community. Our program includes many carols, old and new, as well as John Rutter’s Magnificat for soloists and choir. Please join us for this special concert celebrating the season. Free reception with the musicians after the 7pm concert in Fellowship Hall.
