Today we're in week 6 of the new sermon series on Elijah and Elisha. They were prophets who were seeking to live out their faith in the midst of troubled times. In the midst of fear and uncertainty Elijah and Elisha called the people of Israel back to faith in the living God.
Today's Scripture passage is 2 Kings 2:19-25. These verses contain two very different and odd stories. In the first half, Elisha purifies a spring of water, the water was making people sick, and through a miracle, Elisha heals the spring. The second story is very different, and one of the most unusual in the Bible. We're also featuring the wonderful music of the Point Loma Singers from Point Loma Nazarene University.
