Good morning and happy Sunday! Welcome to our August 25th, 2019 service from La Jolla Presbyterian Church.
Today our Director of Women’s Ministry, Cynthia Blase is preaching, it’s the sixth week of the sermon series called Storyteller, a look at eight parables told by Jesus. Today we’re looking at the parable of the shepherd and His sheep, as found in John chapter 10, verses 1 through 15 where the shepherd lays in the gate to the sheep pen. La Jolla Pres is going green with Solar. We are excited to launch a solar project on the roof of the life center and children’s wing. The solar power project will be great for the environment, and also save the church $40,000 a year for many tears to come. You can learn more about this project and get involved in making it happen at ljpres.org/solar.
Growth Groups will be starting up next month as we launch into a sermon series on 1st Peter. Growth Groups are a great way to get connected, find friendships, and grow spiritually. You can find some open groups on the website at ljpres.org/group.
