Saturday, March 9th, from 8am to 4:30pm, Rev Scott and Laura Mitchell are hosting a one-day Mental Health Summit called Sunrise of Hope, to educate, equip, and encourage people and families dealing with various mental health issues. Keynote speaker Kay Warren from Saddleback Church and local experts from a variety of fields will address a number of diagnoses. Pass the word on to friends and family in the community. Next Sunday, February 10th, 2019 is a celebration of the arts at La Jolla Pres. In the morning, The Point Loma Singers will lead worship at the 8:45 and 11am services. And Gloria Deo, the youth choir will be singing in all three services. Between services the Art Guild will present a visual art Art Walk in the courtyards around campus. A number of artists will present their work, and celebrate visual art.
Then, at 4pm that afternoon, the LJPC Concert Series presents Duo Musart Barcelona in the Sanctuary. This combination piano and organ concert will feature world renowned husband and wife team, Raúl Prieto Ramírez, San Diego’s new Civic Organist, and Maria Teresa Sierra, a noted concert pianist. Join us for this free concert on February 10th at 4pm.
