This Sunday Tyson Malo, International Director of the orphanage Ninos con Valor, will be interviewed in Worship along with Aydee Villarroel, one of the young women who has grown up in the homes run by NCV. They will also be available for a Meet & Greet from 10am-noon, in LC 1. Next Summer there will be a family friendly Bolivia Mission Trip July 7-16, 2017. Trip applications/deposits due Oct. 24, ½ trip cost due Dec. 19, 2016. If you are interested, contact trip leaders Susanna & John Aalbers. Our quarterly Prayer & Healing Service will be Saturday, October 15th at 10am in Fellowship Hall. Come for a time of Worship, a brief teaching on healing, and optional personal prayer stations.

La Jolla Pres and STEAM (Science & Theology for Emerging Adult Ministries) Is presenting a new lecture series for College and Post-Graduate Students. Please join us on October 20th as Guest Speaker Dr. Jeremy Kua, USD Chemistry Professor, talks about Science & Faith. The first concert of the 2016-17 concert series is a “Young Artists Showcase”. The concert will be Sunday, October 23rd at 4:00 PM. See and hear three of the top scholarship award winners from this year’s Musical Merit Foundation competition! Their virtuoso performances will inspire you and warm your heart. Featured artists are Violinist, Annelle Gregory, Flutist Jonathan Sussman, and Vocalist Amanda Olea. As always, no admission charge, no parking charge, and a reception with the musicians following the concert. A free will offering will be received.

Gifts of the HeArt Planning meeting is this Sunday. Calling all fine artists, 11:15am, in room LC-5. We are planning the next Gifts of the HeArt art show Feb. 25, 2017, so get ready to create!
