We’re starting to sell tickets for the annual men’s retreat. Please plan on joining us September 8th to 10th, for this annual time of adventure, refreshment and spiritual challenge at the Rancho Bernardo Inn. This year’s theme is “Rock Your World”. Registration is available in the courtyard on Sunday mornings, in the church office during the week, or by contacting Brady Phelps at bradyphelps@gmail.com.

Women of all ages are invited to a special women’s ministries speaker event: A Tea Time Talk with Susan Hoehn on June 8th from 7:00- 8:30 pm in Fellowship Hall. Join us for dessert and tea, and hear from local philanthropist and Community Bible Study teacher Susan Hoehn, as she shares her inspiring story of faith. $10 per person or tables of 8 available for $80. The blood drive is coming up May 21st. The San Diego Blood bank will be upstairs in room LC3 all morning. You can give the “Gift of Life” by donating blood. Please make an appointment at www.ljpres.org, click on our calendar, then Blood Drive on May 21 for the direct link.

The LJPC Chancel Choir and a professional orchestra present their Spring Concert: King David on also on Sunday, May 21, at 4:00pm. This unique and creative work includes soloists, narration, dance and media vividly retelling in word, song, and music the life of King David. Delightfully varied musical styles – from classical to jazz and from Broadway to Gregorian chant. Our touches of mulitmedia will make the story even more meaningful in a musical event that will remind us of God’s work in the life of this remarkable person. Free admission, free parking and a free reception after the concert.
