Good morning, and happy Sunday! Welcome to our February 9th, 2020 service from La Jolla Presbyterian Church.
Rev. Dr. Paul Cunningham preaching this week and it’s the fifth week of the winter sermon series titled “Gospel Glimpses, a look at Typology - people, events or places in the Old Testament that offer us a “type” or “pattern” of the Messiah who is to come. This morning we are looking at Moses and the burning bush, God calls Moses out in the midst of the wilderness and gives him a mighty mission. The sermon is titled, “Holy Ground” it’s a look at Exodus chapter 3, verses 1-17. If you would like to connect with our church, you can find our website at ljpres.org. The women’s retreat is coming up March 6th through the 8th, at the Cape Rey Resort & Spa in Carlsbad. Our speaker for “Seen & Set Free” is Katie Quesada, preacher, speaker, and storyteller, who will lead us on a path to freedom in Christ. The next installment of our Concert Series is coming up Sunday, February 23rd, at 4pm, in the Sanctuary. The concert will feature two incredible musicians, Pianist Bryan Verhoye and Violinist Annelle Gregory. It’s a great opportunity to bring your friends!
Interfaith shelter is coming up March 7th-21st. We are hosting several individuals and families on a path to escape homelessness. We need help with set-up, tear down, and overnight hosts.
