This Week's Announcements:
The church budget follows a fiscal calendar year from July to June and we are now in the final month for this year. Income for May was approximately $30,000 over what was anticipated, but we are still running behind year to date by about $77,000. Fortunately our expenses are less than budgeted.
We have some work to do in order to close this gap in June. Budgeted income for June is $219,000 and thus we need $296,000 to reach our fiscal year goal. The Elders are grateful for your generosity and remain hopeful that income for this fiscal year will be in line with what was budgeted.
The men’s and women’s retreats are coming up in the Fall, but we’re already taking sign-ups online. You can find details, and register online at ljpres.events. It’s never been easier to sign-up, get connected, and be encouraged.
Our Independence Day All Church Bar-B-Que will be Sunday, July 1st. We’ll all come together for a single patriotic worship service at 10:00 in the Sanctuary followed by a wonderful Independence Day Bar-B-Que lunch with live music in Fellowship Hall. The Bar-B-Que team will be grilling all kinds of delicious food and treats plus all the fixings in the courtyard. Church is open to all, but you will need to purchase tickets for the Bar-B-Que lunch. Tickets are $10 for Adults, $5 for Kids 12 & under, and FREE for kids under 5 years of age. Tickets on sale Sundays in the courtyard or online at ljpres.events
