This Week's Announcements:
The all Church Summer nights BBQ is this week, Wednesday, July 26th, from 4:30 to 7:30pm at La Jolla Shores Kellogg Park, in the grass area north of the parking lot near Camino del Oro. LJPC will provide burgers, dogs, fixings, and utensils. Please bring a salad or dessert to share. There will be lawn games and lots of fun. Bring your beach chairs and blankets! $5 donation per person.
Grandparents Matter! Please join us for a lively discussion and practical help in making our grandparenting journey fulfilling and joyful on August 23rd from 11:00am - 12:00pm. We’ll meet in Fellowship Hall, refreshments will be provided, and everyone is welcome.
Dinner For 8 is coming up Sunday, August 13th. LJPC will have several church homes around SD County hosting “Dinner for 8” guests. You can sign up to participate based on where you live. The host/hostess will contact you about what to bring. If you are interested in hosting or participating as a guest, please contact Jennifer Gotenstein at jennifer. gotenstein@gmail.com.
The men’s and women’s retreats are coming up, and we’d love to have you join us. The Women’s Retreat will be October 20th to 22nd at the Rancho Bernardo Inn. National Speaker and award winning author Cindi McMenamin will lead us as we “Rediscover”. To register, contact Erika Hill at erikah@ljpres.org. The guys will be getting away a month earlier, September 8th to the 10th for an annual time of adventure, refreshment and spiritual challenge, also at the Rancho Bernardo Inn.
