Calling All Grandparents. On Wednesday, July 18th, starting at 11am and concluding with lunch at noon, Stan Beard will host a lively discussion on how we can love our grandkids and share our faith with them. We’ll all enjoy a Summer all-church beach day on Sunday, July 22nd, from 11:30 to 3pm, at La Jolla Shores Life Guard Tower 30. That’s down by the restrooms and play structure. Wear your flip flops to church, bring a picnic lunch and join us for fun and fellowship on the beach. For more information, contact Erika Hill at erikah@ljpres.org.
Ladle Fellowship is coming up, Sunday July 29th. We’ll meet at the fountain in the Courtyard before 12pm to carpool, or at First Pres. Downtown at 1 pm. Join us as we serve a meal to our homeless community with Ladle Fellowship at First Presbyterian Church. It is a wonderful and easy local mission trip. Find details at the reception desk. Please bring clothes for Ladle to distribute.
We’ll be doing Beach Baptisms on Sunday, August 12th, from 4 to 5pm, at La Jolla Beach South of the Children’s Pool. We only do the beach baptisms once a year, and it’s a great way to celebrate this momentous occasion out in God’s beautiful creation. To be baptized, you need to make an appointment with a pastor.
