This week's announcements:
June is the final month of our 2017-18 fiscal year budget. Through the end of May we were running approximately $77,000 behind in our anticipated income. Budgeted Income for June is $214,000, and actual income through June 18th has been just $105,000. We are hopeful of meeting our June income goal, as well as making up the $77,000 shortfall. Thanks for your continued generosity.
TheSan Diego Street Choir was leading worship today. The choir is made up of people touched by homelessness.The music was wonderful, and we heard how God’s gift of singing is changing lives, inspiring dignity, and encouraging others. The men’s and women’s retreats are coming up in the Fall, but we’re already taking sign-ups online. You can find details, and register online at ljpres.events. It’s never been easier to sign-up, get connected, and be encouraged.
Our Independence Day All Church Bar-B-Que will be Sunday, July 1st. We’ll all come together for a single patriotic worship service at 10:00 in the Sanctuary followed by a wonderful Independence Day Bar-B-Que lunch with live music in Fellowship Hall. The Bar-B-Que team will be grilling all kinds of delicious food and treats plus all the fixings in the courtyard. Church is open to all, but you will need to purchase tickets for the Bar-B-Que lunch. Tickets are $10 for Adults, $5 for Kids 12 & under, and FREE for kids under 5 years of age. Tickets on sale Sundays in the courtyard or online at ljpres.events.
