This week's announcements:
Today is Pastor Mike Sedgwick’s last Sunday at La Jolla Pres. Mike is moving to a position as Senior Pastor at Westminster Escondido Presbyterian Church starting tomorrow. Today, Mike is talking about Preparing and Sending, with an eye on the text Ephesians chapter 2 verse 10. If you would like to connect with our church, you can find our website at LJPres.org. We are now 11 months through our fiscal year, and to date we’re running about $70,000 behind budgeted giving. Thankfully, expenses are also down, but we are hopeful we can close this gap by the end of June. The staff and session appreciate your generosity.
We’ve launched registration for our Fall women’s conference. We’re moving the women’s retreat to the Spring, and offering an amazing one day women’s conference this Fall. On October 19th, we’ll have a wonderful event with speakers, breakouts, start the day with health exercise, and it’s all catered by the Parakeet cafe.
