Interfaith Shelter is coming up from Saturday, March 11th to March 25th and we need volunteers. Paul talked about Interfaith during the sermon today, and if you are looking for a place to serve, this is a great choice. We will host 12 individuals & families who are on a path to escape homelessness. We need volunteers to set up on the morning of the 11th as well as overnight hosts. Also we will need help with kids as young as 6 years of age. Sign-ups and information will be available in the Courtyard this Sunday and online at ljpres.org. The SunHouse Pancake Breakfast is coming up Sunday Feb. 26th from 9:30am to 12:30pm. We want to invite the entire congregation to SunHouse for a free pancake breakfast and auction. The pancakes are good, but the star or the show is to hear how we are transforming students lives and building the next generation of Christian leaders! The Gifts of the Heart Art Show is February 25th. Come see our one day pop-up gallery art show in the Life Center! It's a great time of fun, fellowship, food and great art. La Jolla Pres has many talented artists, and their work will be on display. The show represents current work in a wide variety of styles and media. Do you need prayer for phyisical or emotional healing? We are holding a Prayer and Healing Service on Saturday, March 4th from 10am to noon in Fellowship Hall. Pastor Scott Mitchell will lead the congregation in a time of prayer and healing for the body and mind. Members of our prayer team will be available for individual prayer at the Service.
The Married Couples Retreat is coming up April 28th to 30th, and will be held at the Lakehouse Resort in San Marcos! Sign up this Sunday in the Courtyard. Guest speakers will be Casey and Meygan Caston founders of Marriage 365 Ministries. The cost is $460, and covers 2 nights of lodging, Friday dinner and Sunday brunch.
